I have spent my whole career making data make sense for enterprises — batch systems, ETL platforms, storage in every format, warehouses, streaming, cloud architecture, and now AI. I build systems that hold up in production.

The work has taken me across healthcare, education, and media — including real-time reporting for live sporting events. Through these diverse domains I learnt that the hard problems are rarely the technology. They are ownership, quality, and trust in the data. Engineers who learn this early build systems that last.

I learn by building, and I share what I learn through articles and videos. These are not side activities for me. They are how I give back to the community — a thank-you to my mentors — and how I test my own understanding.

The current chapter is AI: delivering AI systems in production, making enterprise data usable by machines, not just people. I believe AI will move to edge devices sooner than we expect and will be woven through our daily activities. When that happens, curating real-time data at volume and making it available will be the next big requirement. It is the biggest shift I have seen in my career, and I am learning it in public, one build at a time.
